Melissa Brandao is Founder and CEO of HerdDogg. For the past decade, Melissa has been focused on the development and deployment of technologies for specialty Agriculture. She is the first female ever to found an electric vehicle company. She was recently honored as one of 32 companies invited to participate in the first ever White House Demo Day.
Duppy oversees both hardware and software for HerdDogg. He has spent almost 20 years designing and shipping consumer electronic handhelds He strives to make the future a place where a connected product is not complex but more useful and stable than its older unconnected version. Damon Doelger is an accomplished executive with over 15 years of leadership in technical management, business development, and sales groups. In 2005, Damon managed the founding of SiC Processing’s US production facility from site selection to process startup. Damon, along with a business partner, formed NW Processing after purchasing the assets of SiC Processing US and developed a process to refine glycerin (from biodiesel by-product) to USP quality and pioneered a recycling process for the recovery of garnet from water jet cutting.
Antonio has pioneered sustainable business in Brasil. He worked on sustainable development projects with the United Nations, Ernst & Young and ABN Amro Bank (Banco Real). Antonio isteacher, speaker and published a book on sustainable development and climate change in 2009. As Country Manager for Brazil, Antonio oversees the day to day of HerdDogg do Brasil.
Carolyn holds a Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition and Stress Physiology from Texas A&M University, a M.S. from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. from Ohio State University. For 35 years she has operated a diversified family farm. Carolyn is the Executive Secretary at State Agriculture and Rural Leaders where she is writing and reviewing agriculture and rural development policy nation-wide.
Frank Kruse is founder of Martin Hill Advisors, a technology development and commercialization expertise consultancy. His career has largely been spent commercializing novel, high-growth technologies within larger corporate entities and for venture-backed start-ups in the life sciences. Selected career milestone include:
Boehringer Ingelheim: responsible for increasing annual ex-US sales from <$2MM to >$80MM.FMC Ag Chem: responsible for increasing annual Russian and Far Eastern sales from <$3MM to >17MMMatrix Medical: Lead national expansion and diversification into retail and medical channels, increased annual sales from <$300k to >$3MM.
Raised in an entrepreneurial family in Central Missouri, Frank attended the University of Missouri for degrees in Agricultural Economics and Russian Studies before attending advanced language training at Leningrad State University with Duke University and further training at Cornell. He finished his education with an MS Ag Econ and Statistics at North Carolina State University.
After a time with the Foreign Service, he was responsible for leading new product introductions into Russia and the Far East for FMC Ag Chemicals. He moved on to run international sales and marketing for a variety of life sciences companies including 7 years directing international introductions for Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica.
Frank has formed 3 start ups and been part of 3 more, including Chief Commercial Officer for an oncology drug development company and VP Bus. Dev. For the Bioscience & Technology Business Center, the Midwest’s’ largest lifesciences incubation network.
Frank is married for 25 years to Nancy with whom he lives with their kids on a farm outside of Kansas City.
Craig has over 25 years of engineering and entrepreneurial experience. He career spans, Motorola, National Instruments and 640 Labs which he co-founded in 2012 and was acquired by The Climate Corporation.Craig was raised on a farm in northwest Iowa, he earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Iowa State University in 1988 and master’s degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He currently has 13 patents.
